Location

Bangus Valley in Kupwara district is about 90 km drive from Srinagar and can be reached easily from here. There are regular buses and trains available to reach the destination.

How to reach?

By Air: Set at a distance of 90 km from Kupwara, Sheikh Ul Alam international airport in Srinagar is the closest airport.

By Train: The closest railway station for Kupwara is at Baramulla, which is about 64 km away.

By Road: Local cabs and taxis are available from Srinagar cab stands easily. The roads are not well-developed but travellers can reach there easily. But the government is taking measures to develop the valley to enhance the prospects of tourism.

Best time to visit Bangus Valley

Bangus is a year-long destination and can be visited anytime. You can witness immense greenery between the months of April and September and during the winter months, the place turns into a winter wonderland!
