Eight sharp shooters who killed Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, have been identified, sources told Hindustan Times.

As per sources, they belong to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. This comes at a time when Punjab police teams are conducting raids in three states and it’s an ongoing operation to nab the suspects.

The developments comes hours after an accused arrested for murder of a gangster was found to be suspected in involvement in the Moose Wala murder.

The arrested accused is suspected of providing the Bolero car used by the shooters to gun down Moose Wala in Jawaharke village in Mansa district of Punjab on May 29.

The Punjab Police had made the first arrest in the murder case two days later, nabbing Manpreet Bhau of Dhaipe village in Mansa district. The police alleged Bhau had provided logistics for the killing.

The Punjab Police suspect it to be a result of an inter-gang rivalry and blamed Lawrence Bishnoi gang for the singer’s murder. Bishnoi is currently in Tihar jail and has been interrogated by the Delhi Police Special Cell. Moments after Moose Wala was killed, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar in a Facebook post had claimed responsibility. Brar is a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi.
