Sensex Jumps 250 pts, Nifty Near 20,000; Adani Gas Soars 15%
Indian equities surged in early hours on Wednesday, supported by Tech M, M&M, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank. The S&P BSE Sensex zoomed 265 points, or 0.40 per cent, to quote at 66,439 levels.
The Nifty50, meanwhile, climbed atop 19,950-mark at 19,977, higher by 85 points or 0.37 per cent.

In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices advanced 0.5 per cent each.
Among sectoral indices, the broad-based rally was led by the Nifty IT and PSU Bank indices (up 0.6 per cent each), and the Nifty Media and Metal indicies (up 0.5 per cent each).
