Sensex initiates trade with 60-point gain, Nifty opens at 19,825

India’s leading stock indices began the trading session on Thursday with marginal gains, following their advance during the previous session.

The pre-open numbers indicated a 92-point rise in the S&P BSE Sensex, amounting to a 0.14% increase, pushing the index to 66,564.57. At the same time, the NSE Nifty 50 was up by 11 points, or 0.06%, reaching 19,822.70.

Asian markets rally as US shares extend gains

In the broader context of Asian equity markets, stocks commenced trading with enthusiasm. U.S. shares managed to sustain their upward trajectory for the fourth consecutive day, disregarding higher-than-expected wholesale inflation data.
