Salma Hayek receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Salma Hayek has become the 2,709th celebrity to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a famous stretch of sidewalk along the Hollywood Boulevard that celebrates some of the most successful producers, actors, musicians and directors in the industry with a brass star bearing their name.

During her acceptance speech, the 55-year-old encouraged others to “find something to love” as much as she has loved cinema over the years.

“If you think you aren’t good at it like I did, make yourself good at it,” the Mexican-Lebanese star told the crowd. “It doesn’t have to be the movies. Be your best at everything you do.”
