Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly creating pornographic films and publishing them through some mobile applications on Monday night.

A Mumbai court on Friday sent actor Shilpa Shetty`s husband and businessman Raj Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe to police custody till July 27.

Now, according to sources in Mumbai Crime Branch, a statement of Shilpa Shetty is currently being recorded in Raj Kundra’s pornography case. The crime branch wants to know why Shilpa Shetty walked out of VIAAN Industries in December 2020.

Mumbai Police on Friday produced actor Shilpa Shetty`s husband and businessman Raj Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe before Magistrate Court seeking further custody for seven days. Mumbai Police told the Court that they suspect money earned from pornography was used for online betting.

Police is investigating a deal between Raj Kundra and a dealer involving 19 adult films. Officials from the Crime Branch informed the court that they believe money made from porn was used in online betting. Kundra’s laptop was confiscated, with 48 TB of data and 51 adult movies found.

The accountant’s statement of Viaan Industries was recorded by the police, and he stated that between 4000 and 10,000 pounds were spent every month. Raj Kundra was given the vouchers and bills. In addition, the IT developer’s statement has been recorded so far.

It was discovered that a day after Kundra’s arrest, the accountant deleted some data, which is now being recovered, according to officials.

The case was registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and the use of apps.
