Pre-bridal tips: Dermatologists share beauty secret on how to get a glowing skin
A bride aims to look her best with clothing choices and makeup aesthetics on her big day but there are certain pre-bridal skincare routine and beauty steps to follow from beforehand that will only enhance her appearance on the special day.
If you are a bride-to-be who is looking for skincare and beauty tips to calm your anxiety, feel good, look great, lift up body and spirit, release tension from body and flaunt a vibrant personality while preventing the overall strain from taking a toll on you, this article is just for you as dermatologists spill the beans on pre-bridal beauty secrets to get a glowing skin.
In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr Swati Tripathi, Dermatologist and Founder of Mahe Clinic, shared, “Pre-bridal starts at least 3 months. Stop all kinds of treatments at least 2 weeks before the big day. Avoid bleaching, scrubbing and any facials 2-3 weeks before the wedding. Consult your dermatologist for laser toning, carbon facials (provides toned skin) and if you would like to avoid laser then go for hydrafacial (cleans out the skin and provides glow) or micro needling (tightens the skin). If you have any issues like acne scars or open pores, start at least 4 months earlier to treat the problem and get a clear skin.”
Dr Shruti Saini, Cosmetologist and Founder of Smiles For Miles at Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, advised, “Start following a healthy diet at least six months before your wedding day. It is as vital to keep your system hydrated as it is to eat good food. You must consume at least two to three litres of water every day. Plan your visit to a dermatologist as they can assess your complexion’s current state way and help you devise a strategy for achieving your dream-skin goals, be it blemishes, under eye dark circles or zapping acne. Some treatments take time—up to several months—and you certainly want a game plan to look the best on your wedding day. Do not skip CTM (cleaning, toning and moisturising) no matter how busy or tired you might be in the mornings and the nights.”
Asserting that as a bride on your wedding day, you become the centre of attraction hence, your beauty game should be flawless, Dr Jyoti Gupta, Consultant Dermatologist at New Delhi’s Panchsheel Enclave, suggested 5 procedures that work for brides. These include BB glow for even skin tone, carbon peel for open pores and oily skin, laser toning for pigmentation and hair bleaching, medi facials for extra glow and Aquagold for skin tightening.
