Poster & Trailer of Iranian film “Pinto” about violence against women, Directed by “Narges Abyar”
International poster and trailer of the movie “Pinto” directed by “Narges Abyar”, an Iranian member of the Academy Awards was unveiled.
The movie which is mainly focussed on violence against women has won four Crystal Simorgh Audience Award for Best Film, the Best Supporting Actress, the Best Visual Effects and the Best Makeup Award in 39th fajr film festival.
The film narrates the story of Rahele who lives with her husband Ali and their daughter Mobina in a poor and suburb area. In their neighbourhood, her mother and sister-in-law and the brother-in-law of Ali, (Jalal) live. Jalal who has the highest reputation and financial power in the community, attempts to rape Rahele.However, she resists and reveals the truth. In the end, to prevent a murder and dishonour, she is fated to take her claim back and say that it was a lie.
Narges Abyar graduated in Persian literature; she started writing books in 1997. Up to the present, she has written more than 30 story and fiction books for children, young adults and adults. She was selected as an Oscar Academy member in 2020.
She has directed seven short fiction and documentary films as well as five feature films, including
“Objects In Mirror” (2012), “Track 143” (2013), “Breath” (2015), “When the Moon Was Full” (2018) as well as “Pinto”. Abyar’s films have participated in dozens of international film festivals and have received prestigious awards, the most important of which are the representative of Iranian cinema at the 2018 Academy Awards with “Breath” and the award for best director in the competition section of the 20th Film Festival “Black Nights” in Estonia 2016, the Audience Choice Award at the 23rd Tallinn “Black Nights” Film Festival in Estonia 2019 with “When the Moon Was Full”, the Best Actress Award at the 8th Asia Pacific Awards Australia 2014 With the film “Track 143″, various awards from the national festivals as well as Fajr International Film Festival, etc.
“Narges Abyar” is also an official member of the Academy Awards in 2020 and the holder of the International Award for the Most Successful Women in the Islamic World. She also has been a jury member of several international film festivals.
