Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, one of the accused in the murder of Punjabi singer-turned-Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala, has finally admitted to Delhi Police that his gang members including Canada-based Goldy Brar, killed Sidhu Moose Wala, news agency PTI reported, citing officials.

Lawrence Bishnoi had so far refused any connection with Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder and distance from Goldy Brar’s purported social media message in which Goldy took responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder and named Lawrence Bishnoi.

“Bishnoi has been very uncooperative so far. But during interrogation, he accepted that he had a rivalry with Moosewala and claimed that his gang members killed the singer,” officials told PTI.

However, Lawrence Bishnoi has not revealed who all were involved in the conspiracy and who were sent to kill Moose Wala. “He has revealed that Goldy Brar was one of the gang members who conspired and executed the killing of Moosewala but has not yet disclosed the names of other associates who were the real conspirators and executioners of the killing,” an official said.

The exact motive behind the killing is not yet clear but Lawrence Bishnoi admitted that his gang has a rivalry with Sidhu Moose Wala who, as alleged by Lawrence Bishnoi, was involved in the killing of Akali Dal youth leader Vicky Middukhera.

Expressing apprehension of a fake encounter, Lawrence Bishnoi first approached the Delhi high cpurt and then the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking appropriate directions for not handing his custody over to the Punjab Police in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday dismissed the plea.
