This art event organised by award-winning art curator Vikram Sethi and comprised 5 artists. Their participation is at Hotel Saket, Sheraton, New Delhi from 12th March to 19th March 2023.

The artists participating are :

1) Seema Sethi

Seema’s illustrious career started as a lecturer at Jai Hind College, Mumbai in 1987. When she settled in New Delhi in 1989, she taught as PGT Economics to class XIIth students and went on to serve as the Vice Principal at The Banyan Tree School in 1995.

Since 1999, she ventured into the chemical industry and is currently managing two ISO-certified surface treatment production units in Gurgaon and Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

Eager to learn and contribute to the rich cultural heritage of our country, she has been a volunteer guide at the National Museum, Janpath, New Delhi, since 2013.

In 2000, she learnt the venerated art form of Tanjore paintings, a defining moment which sparked in her a zeal to add a ‘golden touch’ to everything she admired. She married the traditional with the contemporary, as she used gold foils, semi-precious stones and muck work to embellish not just Gods and Goddesses, but novel concepts.

Over two decades, she has made one painting a year and developed her art form with mixed media.

2) Supriya Dogra. In her own words

“My journey as an artist began when I was about nine and I tried making portraits of everyone around me, the first being a portrait of my father. The power that colour, shape and form can convey when put into a painting has always fascinated me. I like to experiment with various genres, mediums and styles of paintings because I never tire of learning.”
