Indian Railways’ Bharat Gaurav train to start 18-day Ramayana Yatra from April 7

The Indian Railways will be starting the “Ramayana Yatra” train on April 7, which will be covering several prominent places that are associated with the life of Lord Rama, such as Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, along with others.

Releasing a press statement, the Indian Railways added that those travelling in the train will enjoy a stop in Ayodhya to visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Hanuman temple, and will also get the opportunity to witness Saryu aarti. The said train will also cover places like Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Hampi, Nashik, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam, Nagpur, among others. The journey will be an 18-day tour.

Indian Railways has also taken the initiative to run Bharat Gaurav tourist trains to promote the Dekho Apna Desh and Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat vision of the government.

As per the Indian Railways, the proposed train tour will be a Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC tourist train that will come enhanced with all modern amenities like AC-I and AC-II class coaches, and will be able to accommodate 156 tourists.

The other features of this train will include two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles in coaches, foot massager, sensor-based washroom functions, etc. The train will have enhanced security features of CCTV cameras and security guards for each coach. Tourists will also get to board/deboard at Delhi, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Lucknow railway station.

The first halt will be Ayodhya, which will be followed by Bharat Mandir at Nandigram, Sitamarhi in Bihar, Buxar, Varanasi where the tourists will visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple and corridor, the Tulsi Mandir and Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple.

After that the train will follow to Prayagraj, Shringverpur and Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam, Nagpur and ending the journey at Delhi.
