India vs Pakistan, Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 : Jemimah, Richa help India crush Pakistan by 7 wickets
Top knocks from Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh, propelled India to a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Group B match at the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup.
Opted to bat first, Pakistan lost some initial wickets but a half-century from Bismah Maroof and an unbeaten knock of 43* runs from Ayesha Naseem, guided them to a total of 149/4 in 20 overs. Later, India lost an early wicket of Yastika Bhatia, which was followed by the dismissals of Shafali Verma and Harmanpreet Kaur.
However, Jemimah struck an unbeaten partnership with Richa Ghosh (31*) and brought up her ninth T20I half-century off 38 balls, to take India across the line with an over to spare. For Pakistan, Nashra Sandhu scalped two wickets and leaked only 15 runs in 4 overs.
