Garvi Gujarat Tourist train flagged off from Delhi; 10 more to be launched soon

The latest Bharat Gaurav train to be flagged off is the ‘Garvi Gujarat,’ which aims at showcasing the heritage of the state. If reports are to go by, 10 more circuits are in offing.

This latest train that has been flagged off has the capacity to accommodate 156 tourists onboard. It started its 8-day ‘Garvi Guarat’ tour from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station, and its first stoppage will be at Kevadiya, where the Statue of Unity will be the centre of attraction. As per the reports, the entire train journey will be around 3500 km, which it will cover during this eight-day journey.

Revealing more about this train, the Railway Ministry added that this train tour package has been designed and conceptualised on the life of Freedom Fighter Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The other famous attractions that has been included in this tour itinerary are Champaner archaeological park, which is also a UNESCO world heritage site, Adalaj Step Well, Akshardham Temple at Ahmedabad, Sabarmati Ashram, Modhera Sun Temple, and the Rani ki Vao.

Apart from these, religious sites like Somnath Jyotirlinga, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarkadheesh Temple and Beyt Dwarka have also been included.

As reported earlier, the government’s Bharat Gaurav policy was launched on November 23, 2021, which aims at showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage and historical places to both domestic and foreign visitors.

With this, the Railway Ministry is working on the core strength of the professionals of the tourism sector to develop and identify such tourist circuits, and thereby, run theme-based trains to tap the vast tourism potential of India.

As per the reports, boarding and deboarding options will be provided at Gurugram, Rewari, Ringas, Phulera and Ajmer Railway Stations for the convenience of tourists.

The Deluxe AC Tourist Train comes enhanced with a host of features, like a modern kitchen, two fine dining restaurants, shower cubicles in coaches, and more.

As regarding the cost, it starts from INR 52250 per person in AC 2 Tier, which will be for the entire eight days all-inclusive tour package.
