France To Offer COVID Health Pass To International Tourists

In some good news for those intending to visit France, the nation has announced that they will provide COVID health passes to visitors from outside the European Union as well.

The said passes are required to visit tourist attractions in the country; the same is also required for train travel in the country as well. Also, France’s COVID health passes are also mandatory for visiting restaurants, cafes and a number of public places. Earlier this month, France made it mandatory for people to carry these passes.

The COVID health passes are proof to carrier’s vaccination or to state the carrier of such pass has tested negative for COVID-19 in the past 72 hours. To make the process easier to travellers, France has set up different e-mails for travellers from different countries intending to visit the nation. Currently, the country is accepting travellers who are already in Europe or have reached Europe by August 15; also, they need to be 18 years of age or older.

France has also laid out different conditions for different nations and it is advisable to check with French authorities before planning a trip as the rules may differ. Of course, one needs to be vaccinated with any vaccine that is approved by the European Medicines Agency. No health passes or entry would be allowed to unvaccinated travellers.
