A fire broke out in a coach of the Delhi-Saharsa Vaishali Superfast Express near Etawah in Uttar Pradesh, leaving 19 passengers injured. The fire broke out in the toilet of the S-6 coach adjacent to the pantry.
According to local authorities, 11 of the injured passengers were experiencing breathing difficulties and have been referred to medical facilities for further treatment.
“The fire broke out in the coach next to the pantry, in which 19 people were injured. Out of the 19, 11 were facing breathing issues and they have been referred elsewhere,” police said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
The incident occurred just a day after a fire broke out in the New Delhi-Darbhanga Special Express train, damaging three coaches and injuring eight passengers.
