The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday sought the remand of former deputy CM Manish Sisodia for 10 days, in the Delhi excise policy case.
The agency had moved Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court and had sought Sisodia’s production warrant in the case.
The court, in response, said it would consider the ED’s plea, seeking custody of Manish Sisodia in the matter, for questioning him.
The Delhi court directed a production warrant against Sisodia and said the former Deputy CM will be produced before the court at 2 pm today.
On Thursday, the agency arrested Sisodia on money laundering charges in connection with alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.
Sisodia is already in Tihar jail after he was sent to 14-day judicial custody by a CBI court on March 6.
The developments came after a case was lodged against him in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy for 2021-22.
He was arrested by the CBI on February 26.
