Noida is all set to get the country’s first-ever Vedic theme park. As per the reports, work at the Ved Van Park, which is still under work in progress in Sector 78, is almost complete, and will likely open for the public next month.

Reportedly, INR 27 crore has been invested in this project, and it will highlight excerpts from the four vedas — the Rig Veda, Atharva Veda, Yajur Veda and Sama Veda — via laser shows and wall paintings.

Work on the said project started in January 2021, whereas officials related to this project added that the work was slightly delayed as the soil compaction was carried out to hold the structures in a better way.

Vandana Srivastava from Noida Authority stated that the land used to be a dumpyard earlier, and soil compaction was carried out to make it suitable for developing a park.

This was done to enhance the quality of the plants, the soil was also loosened, and trees were then replanted. The park will soon open for the public.

Till now, the wall of the park has been painted with excerpts from the Vedic age, whereas a laser show will also be organised on the Vedic theme to lure visitors. More than 50,000 plants have been planted, which finds mention in Vedic literature like nee, banyan, kalpavriksha, and coconut.

Reports add that the park will be divided into seven zones named after the sages of the Vedic age, including Kashyap, Bharadvaj, Gautam, Atri, Vasishtha, Vishvamitra and Agastya, along with their information and other the holy scriptures.

The park will also feature an amphitheatre that will make use of solar energy.
