LDLC ASVEL Feminin were crowned EuroCup Women champions for the first time after defeating Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring across the two-legged Finals.

ASVEL produced an emphatic display in Lyon in the first leg with a 39-point victory and completed a 180-113 aggregate success with another win on the road on Wednesday evening.

Marine Johannes received the MVP award of the Finals after averaging 22.5 points, 6.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in two impressive standout performances for the victors.

In the first leg, ASVEL secured a dominant 95-56 win in front of their home fans with Gabby Williams contributing 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to accompany the game-high of 25 points from Johannes.

The French side continued in the same vein in the reverse fixture with another fast start on their way to recording an 85-57 victory behind the efforts of six players in double figures.

Two-time former winners Galatasaray were chasing a record-equaling third title to add to their triumphs of 2009 and 2018, but lost at the final hurdle for the first time.

ASVEL become the fourth French club to win the competition; following on from Aix-en-Provence (2003), ESBVA (2015) and Tango Bourges (2016, 2022).
