AACCI Opens Doors in Asia & Africa to Build Trade & Business Opportunities

Asian African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AACCI), a bilateral chamber with a presence in most Asian & African countries, serving its members, spread across the two continents as well as the partnering chambers, organized its 3rd series of High-Level Diplomats’ Meet on November 19, 2022, at India International Center, New Delhi.

The objective of this series of Diplomatic Meets is to create a platform that brings the country representatives and business owners together, and closer, towards a common goal – which is, increasing trade between the countries of Asia and Africa.

The Meets help the common endeavor of bringing together opportunities and investors under one roof. The event not only opens up innumerable commercial opportunities in the partner countries but also, shows a way to tap those opportunities for mutual benefit and community development.

The last meet, held in the month of August 2022, helped exchange the untapped business and investment opportunities prevailing in participating countries and was complemented by the enthusiasm that the business leaders and investors showed during the program.

The Meet took off with its Founder & President, Dr. GD Singh addressing the diplomats, business delegates and other dignitaries emphasizing information flow for the growth of the region. He appealed to all the diplomats to take a pledge to put the best foot forward for the cumulative growth of Asian & African regions through collaboration and collective actions. He hoped the 3rd High-Level Diplomats’ Meet would bring new hopes of togetherness amongst the countries of Asia and Africa, promising the beginning of a new era of sustained and inclusive economic growth.

Asia and Africa have been showing a very strong presence in the global market in recent years, promising a bright future for the generations to follow. Asia and Africa have in the recent past shown a very strong presence in the global market, surpassing many European and American countries. The diplomats present all stressed that it was time to join hands together, to welcome prosperity and growth in an environment where hatred and animosity have no place.

The Meet witnessed the presence of Ambassadors, High Commissioners Trade Consuls from partnering embassies, and dynamic business stalwarts from various industrial sectors, who have a keen interest in trade & investment in foreign countries. The event’s purpose was to break the barriers between the countries and create an atmosphere of mutual growth. It served to explore possibilities of unrelenting and inclusive economic growth by creating a platform of mutual interest through high-level dialogues, one-to-one discussions, presentations, etc. in a well-balanced business cum social environment. Trade, investment, and business opportunities in various countries were discussed with the business delegates who were keen to invest or expand their business in these partnering countries.

Some key country representatives who participated in this High-Level Diplomats’ Meet were H.E. Mr. Gabriel P. Sinimbo – High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia; Mr. Rwanga Charles – CDA, Head of the Embassy from Burundi, Mr. Leonard Kambala– Second Secretary from the Republic of Namibia Mr. Vladimir Poghosyan – Consul, 2nd secretary from the Republic of Armenia; Mrs. Donata Chitsonga – First Secretary for Trade, High Commission of Malawi; Mr. Demesew Kebede – Minister (Business) from the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo – Hon’ble Counsellor from the High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Among others were Amb. Mahesh Sachdev – former Indian Ambassador and currently the President of AACCI; Mr. Suresh Goel – IFS Retd; Md Mumunur Rahman and Mr. Mohammad Abdus Salam CEO & Owner, Vision Trade International.

During the High-Level Diplomats Meet, the achievements of some of the established and start-up MSMEs, entrepreneurs, industrialists, business leaders, and professionals were recognized and honored with “Asian African Iconic Brand Awards” for their outstanding performance and tremendous tenacity in their respective sectors and expertise with a never-ending zeal to reach the highest echelons.

During the event, the Maharashtra Chapter of AACCI was announced and its MOU was signed with Mr. Brajesh Kumar who has been newly appointed as its Chapter President.
