Unusual weather conditions have become an unpredictable phenomenon in recent years. Most recently, people all around the world were surprised to see Saudi Arabia’s Al-Jawf region receiving its first recorded snowfall.

It changed the dry desert environment into a winter wonderland. This extraordinary phenomenon occurred in the aftermath of severe rain and hail storms that swept across the region. But the incident has left netizens divided. While some could not take their eyes off the miracle, others remained worried about the rapid climate change.

The weather conditions not only generated lovely scenery but also revitalised the landscape by forming waterfalls and filled valleys. But online users have reacted in varied ways.

One of the users who seemed mesmerised, expressed, “Snowfall in Saudi Arabia! Nature never ceases to amaze. Seeing the desert transform into a winter wonderland is breathtaking!” Another person tried to offer an explanation of the weather phenomenon stating, “It’s not snow, it’s hail. Big difference.”

Many others raised concerns regarding the changing climate. A person mentioned, “Not a good sign, mother nature is changing its colours.” while another individual commented, “I guess the North Pole will shift to the Middle East in a few decades.”

Some simply felt that this was a sign of how vulnerable our habitat is to nature. “End of the world nearing,” said one user.

An individual noted, “100% natural, nothing to do with the weather seeding.”
