“Plethora of Talent” an art event by Award-Winning Curator Vikram Sethi

Organized by award-winning art curator Vikram Sethi, this art event features the work of five talented artists. The exhibition is hosted at Hotel Sheraton, Saket, New Delhi, from August 24th to September 1st, 2024. The participating artists are:

1) Ms. Madhulika Verma, India / USA
2) Ms. Amita Singh, Delhi
3)Ms. Meena Dhalla, Delhi
4) Mr. Akshar Bhan, Delhi
5) Ms. Mousumi Mallick, Lucknow.

The event highlights a diverse range of artistic expressions. Senior artist Madhulika Verma presents an impressive series focusing on women, while Mousumi Mallick showcases evocative figurative paintings that capture a spectrum of emotions. Akshar Bhan’s photography beautifully captures scenes from Mauritius, and Meena Dhalla’s Zen-inspired paintings offer intricate, meditative pieces that emphasize simplicity and tranquility. Amita Singh’s works explore themes of animals, nature, and contemporary life.

The inaugural reception on August 24th was attended by most of the artists and their families, though a few artists were unable to attend due to travel. Guests included Mrs. Aruna Sethi, Sapna Raheja, Dr. Shipra, media personality Dr. Sanjeev Dev Malik, Pawan Suri, Priya Suri, Ashutosh Ahluwalia, Ananya, Aneesha, Amrita Mallick, and Raghav Wanchoo from Sheraton Hotel, Saket, among others. Madhulika Verma, based in the USA, was represented by her work.

According to Vikram Sethi, the curator of the show, this exhibition demonstrates the remarkable talent within India and provides these artists with a valuable platform for broader recognition.

The event’s inauguration featured a selection of wines, snacks, and champagne, thanks to the excellent hospitality of the Sheraton Hotel team. The exhibition will remain on display at the Sheraton Hotel, Saket, Delhi, through September 1st, 2024.
