Shriya Saran reacts to trolls criticising her for kissing hubby Andrei in public
Actor Shriya Saran, who was seen in the recently released film Drishyam 2, attended a special screening of the film with her husband Andrei Koscheev.
At the event, Shriya and Andrei shared a kiss but several people criticised them. Shriya has now responded to those people saying that it’s the job of the ‘trolls’ to write and her job is ‘to avoid them’. The actor revealed that Andrei ‘thinks that it’s normal to kiss me during my special moment’.
Shriya, for the event, draped a red saree and golden earrings while Andrei opted for a sky blue suit. A paparazzo account on Instagram posted a video of the couple kissing. Reacting to it, a social media user wrote, “They kiss every time in front of the camera, kiss at home.” Another person commented, “Why do they have to kiss in public every time?”
Speaking with News18, Shriya said, “It’s kind of funny! Andrei thinks that it’s normal to kiss me during my special moment and I think it’s beautiful. He doesn’t understand why we would be trolled for something so natural. But it is okay, it is fine (laughs)! I don’t read bad comments or react to them. It’s their (trolls) job to write and my job is to avoid them. I only do what I’ve to do.”
Talking about Andrei’s opinion on her films Drishyam 2, RRR, and Gamanam (2021), Shriya added, “He really loved it but he told me that he needs to watch it again to understand it properly. The other day, we were talking about it at two o’clock in the morning, which was really interesting. The film is like that because there’s so much going and by the end of it, you’re trying to figure out what happened.”
Apart from Shriya, Drishyam 2 also features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Akshaye Khanna. The film earned over ₹64 crore in the first week of its release. The movie is a sequel to Ajay’s 2015 crime thriller Drishyam, which was the Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam movie of the same name.
The sequel to the Malayalam film released in February 2021. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series, and Panorama Studios.
