AACCI Opens Doors in Asia & Africa to Build Trade & Business Opportunities

Asian African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AACCI), a bilateral chamber with presence in most of Asian & African countries, serving its members, spread across the two continents as well as the partnering chambers, organized its 2nd series of High Level Diplomats’ Meet on August 20, 2022 at The Grand, New Delhi.

As India becoming the world’s fifth-largest economy with a nominal GDP crosses over $3 trillion, overtaking France and the UK, Dr. G D Singh, the Founder & Chairman of AACCI, in his maiden speech, appealed to all the hon’ble diplomats to take a pledge to put their best foot forward for the cumulative growth of the region through collective actions and deliberative decision making. He further stressed that the Meet would bring new hopes of strong collaborations amongst the countries of Asia & Africa, promising the beginning of a new era of sustained and inclusive economic growth.

Asia and Africa have been showing a very strong presence in the global market in recent years, promising a bright future for the generations to follow. The diplomats present all stressed that it was time to join hands together, to welcome prosperity and growth in an environment, where hatred and animosity have no place.

This High Level Diplomats’ Meet consisted of high profile guests including Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Trade Consuls from partnering embassies and dynamic business stalwarts from various industrial sectors who have a keen interest in trade & investment in foreign countries. Event’s purpose was to break the barriers between the countries and create an atmosphere of mutual growth. It served to explore possibilities of unrelenting and inclusive economic growth by creating a platform of mutual interest through high level dialogues, one to one discussions, presentations, etc. in a well- balanced business cum social environment. Trade, investment and business opportunities in various countries were discussed with the business delegates who were keen to invest or expand their business in these partnering countries.

The country representatives who participated in this High Level Diplomats’ Meet were H.E. Mr. Gabriel P. Sinimbo– Hon’ble High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia; H.E. Ms. Deliwe Mumbi – Deputy High Commissioner of Zambia; Ms. Nomusa Mugwambi– Trade Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe; Mr. Vitaly Mirutko – Hon’ble Senior Counsellor from the Embassy of Belarus; Mr. Vladimir Poghosyan – Hon’ble Consul, 2nd secretary from the Embassy of Armenia; Mr. James Nhlane – Hon’ble First Secretary (Political) from the High Commission of Malawi and Mr. Jared Bironga Mayieka– Hon’ble Trade Attache of Kenya High Commission. Some more important dignitaries invited are Amb. Mahesh Sachdev – Indian Ambassador in various countries and currently the President of AACCI; Mr. Suresh Goel -IFS Retd, New Delhi; Mr. Md Mumunur Rahman – Founder & CEO of EXPOPRO; Mr. Coubageat Touré Mohamed Abdel Malik – Clubdiplomatique international Afrique/ CDI-A Groupe Afro-genie-Togo and Mr. Anrinle Ahmed Adekunle – CEO of Rinllandded Nigeria Limited.

During the High Level Diplomats Meet the achievements of some of the established & start-up MSMEs, entrepreneurs, industrialists, business leaders and professionals were recognized and honoured with “Asian African Iconic Brand Awards” for their outstanding performance and tremendous tenacity in their respective sectors and an expertise with a never ending zeal to reach the highest echelons.

The Meet also witnessed a couple of high flying MOUs which were aimed at encouraging investment and collaborative actions between the two continents. The first MOU was signed between Asian African Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Togo Chamber of Commerce & Industry to promote and develop bilateral economic relations and enhance trade opportunities by increasing the reach & business network. The MOU was signed by Madame Nathalie Bitho – The President of CCIT and Dr. GD Singh– Chairman of AACCI.

AACCI announced the commencement of its chapter office in Punjab for which the 2nd MOU was signed with Dr. Vishal Kalra– Founder & CEO of Designistic Global Pvt Ltd. Who will act as the President of AACCI Punjab chapter.

AACCI announced its Bangladesh chapter as well and an MOU was signed with Mr. Md Mumunur Rahman– Founder & CEO of EXPO PRO who has been appointed the President of AACCI’s Bangladesh chapter.

Towards the end, UB Group’s most aristocratic luxury, lifestyle and business magazine, Passion Vista announced & unveiled its special collector’s edition, ‘The Most Admired Global Indians 2022’, which is a collection of some of the most sought after line up of illustrious scions of global business, celebrities, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, professionals, sports persons, socialites & more from different walks of life, who have displayed their dynamism to revitalize their enterprise, setting new rules for their profession through their unsatiated passion. Some of the Admired Indians who were present in the event were introduced and felicitated on the stage.

The event was marked with the live performance of the young musical sensations, the classical music maestro, Maitrayee Roy who mesmerized the audience with her scintillating voice and her younger brother, Anirban Roy, who has created a humongous fan following at such a young age by his captivating flute recital. They were joined in a Juggal bandi by Durjay Bhaumik, the renowned Tabla player.
