Ahead of Amit Shah’s visit to Telangana today, TRS mounts scathing attack on BJP
Even as Union home minister Amit Shah is scheduled to be in Hyderabad on Saturday, May 14, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has mounted an attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The ruling TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) has written an ‘open letter’ to Shah, while party Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), K Kavita, questioned his visit.
Escalating the attack on the union government over its failed promises to Telangana, MLC Kavitha, on Saturday, May 14, posted a series of questions to Amit Shah, who is on a trip to Hyderabad today.
She tweeted, “Amit Shah Ji, Please tell the people of Telangana when will the central government clear Rs 3000 crores of dues of Finance Commission grant, Rs 1350 crore of Backward Region grant and the pending GST Compensation of Rs 2247 crore to Telangana.”
She also demanded an answer from the union government for the skyrocketing inflation, record-breaking unemployment in the country, the maximum communal riots under the BJP and why India sold the most expensive fuel and LPG .
She also reminded the Union Minister Amit Shah to tell the people of Telangana why the centre failed to give Telangana a single IIT, IIM, IISER, IIIT, NID, Medical College or Navodaya Schools in the past 8 years ?
She also questioned the Union government’s ignorance of the NITI Aayog’s recommendation of 24,000 crore funds to Mission Kakatiya & Mission Bhagiratha, which inspired the prestigious Central Government Scheme of Har Ghar Jal.
She called it sheer hypocrisy of the Union government to accord the national project status to Upper Bhadra irrigation project in Karnataka, the Ken Betwa river linking project while denying the same to the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme and the Kaleshwaram Project in Telangana.
