Ireland

Although Ireland witnessed one of Europe’s harshest lockdowns, it has now finally lifted all COVID-related travel restrictions. As such, all international visitors are now welcome, and they will no longer have to provide proof of a negative PCR test report, proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery upon arrival. Plus, travellers will not have to undergo any quarantine or post-arrival test here. However, if anyone develops Covid-19 symptoms here, they will be advised to follow the protocols that are in place.

Fiji

Travelling to Fiji will become a lot easier in the coming days as the authorities have recently announced plans of lifting travel related restrictions and reopening borders for Indian tourists. Reports have it that fully vaccinated Indian travellers will now be able to visit this island nation without undergoing quarantine. However, do note that those travelling to Fiji must be fully vaccinated, and will be required to provide a negative PCR test that has been taken within two days prior to departure, or a negative RAT test taken within 24 hours prior to departure.

Bali

Those planning to visit Bali will no longer be required to undergo mandatory hotel quarantine from March 14, as the government recently announced to roll back its costly travel rule. As such, fully-vaccinated travellers will now be exempted from the isolation rules, however they will need to provide a negative PCR test report, and show proof of their hotel booking. Also, reports have it that visas on arrival, which were suspended two years ago, will again be resumed for travellers from 23 nations.

Switzerland

Switzerland recently announced scrapping of entry rules for travellers arriving from countries that do not have variant concerns. As such, if you are not travelling from a country that has been listed as a variant concern, you will no longer have to undergo quarantine or testing on arrival in Switzerland. Also note, those travelling from such countries will no longer be required to fill out the passenger locator form.

Norway

Norway is open to all travellers, including unvaccinated, those who have recovered, without the need to under quarantine any longer. As per the statement of the Norwegian authorities, “ No testing, no quarantining, no registration! As of February 12, 2022, all COVID-19 entry requirements have been lifted for all travellers to Norway.” Reports have it that all other restrictions have also been lifted, such as maintaining social distance or the need to wear a face mask anywhere in the country.

Iceland

Those travelling to Iceland will not be required to undergo quarantine or any tests. Reportedly, the Icelandic authorities has announced that all travellers, regardless of their recovery and vaccination status, will now be allowed entry to the country without the requirement to follow any restrictions. Referring to this, the Icelandic authorities informed, “All COVID-19 measures at the Icelandic border have now ended. Thereby, no COVID-19 prevention measures will be in place at the border, regardless of whether individuals are vaccinated or unvaccinated.”

Slovenia

Referring to the updated travel rules, the Slovenian authorities stated, As of February 19, 2022, restrictions due to COVID-19 no longer apply when entering Slovenia. This means that the RVT (recovered/vaccinated/tested) condition no longer has to be met at the border, and travellers will no longer be ordered to quarantine at home.” Reports also state that travellers can now visit the territory of Slovenia without the need to provide proof of recovery or vaccination certificate, or a negative test result.

Kuwait

Kuwait recently lifted most of its travel restrictions, and also announced revised guidelines for travellers. Referring to this, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) State of Kuwait stated that fully vaccinated travellers will not have to undergo mandatory quarantine on arrival. The Kuwait Government also added that all passengers (except visa on arrival in Kuwait) can enter the place regardless of their vaccination status. Further, the new travel guidelines state that those who are fully vaccinated and have taken a booster dose, they will no longer be required to take a pre-departure and on arrival RT PCR test in Kuwait.
