6 – 7 October 2022 : European Political Community meeting and Informal EU 27 Summit

European leaders will meet informally at Prague Castle on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 October 2022.

European Political Community meeting will be held for its very first time on October 6, and will be followed by the Informal European Council meeting on October 7.

Media Participation

Media participation in the event is subject to obtaining a valid accreditation (for more information see the section “Accreditation”). It is not possible to enter the premises of Prague Castle on the days of the event without a valid accreditation. Please note that accreditation closes 5 days prior to the given event (accreditation is open until 1 October 2022 at 23:59) and for security reasons it is not possible to grant late accreditation.

Upon successful accreditation, the media will be able to attend both the Leaders Meeting within the European Political Community (6 October 2022) and the Informal EU 27 Summit (7 October 2022). It is not possible to be accredited for each event separately, thus there is only one accreditation for both days.

Media representatives will have access to a fully equipped press centre outside the protected perimeter of Prague Castle – in the Castle gardens. It will also be possible to attend the individual media opportunities that will be available on the premises of the Prague castle during the events.

Accreditation

For the purposes of the Czech Presidency of the EU Council, an official accreditation system has been created through which media representatives can apply for accreditation. All representatives of media organisations wishing to participate in summits and other events of the Czech EU Presidency (CZ PRES) must obtain accreditation.

How can I obtain accreditation?

Accreditation is only possible through the official accreditation system of CZ PRES.

When initially registering in the accreditation system, please select the “Journalist” account type. Then register by entering your name, surname and e-mail. You will receive an e-mail from the accreditation system asking you to activate your account.

You will then set a password that will allow you to enter the accreditation system at any time during the Czech Presidency and to update or modify your data as necessary.

Which event should I accredit myself for?

In the accreditation system, under the “All events” tab, you can find a list of events for which you can be accredited within the CZ PRES. Please select the event titled “Informal Summit” from the list of events. If accreditation for the event is running, the system will allow the accreditation form to be opened.

How do I fill in the accreditation form?

In order to successfully complete the registration for individual CZ PRES events, it is necessary to upload the following documents:

› A copy of the journalist’s press card or a copy of the document proving that the journalist is employed by the media outlet in question

› A photograph

Please check all entered data thoroughly, make sure that the documents and names are filled in correctly and that the punctuation matches the entered documents. After completing the registration form, you have officially applied for accreditation.

What if I want to participate online?

If you wish to attend the press conference online, please select this option on the accreditation form. In this case, you will receive an e-mail the day before the event containing your login details and instructions for attending the press conference.

IMPORTANT!

Accreditations for this event close on 1 October 2022 at 23:59. Please note that each registration is subject to an approval process. Therefore, it is not possible to accept registrations for accreditation after the deadline.
