US recognises India as a leading power in Indo-Pacific region & beyond; US ambassador to India assures working closely for India's membership to the elite Nuclear Suppliers Group; Asserts America First and Make in India are not incompatible.
US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster in his inaugural policy speech in New Delhi said that America is closely working with India to secure its membership in the Nuclear Suppliers Group.
 
US envoy also said that 'America First' and 'Make in India' are not incompatible. He said investing in each others markets will be mutually beneficial, and will increase economic interactions and volume of trade.
 
Juster said that US and India have a strong interest in promoting peace, security and prosperity in Afghanistan. He further said that Pakistan has not contributed positively in countering terror in Afghanistan.
