The capital zone of India has its own swag. The city never leaves an opportunity of steam gleam from the stars shining bright in the sky. This time it was the lovely space of Ministry of Beer where the brightest faces accumulated and try to create an atmosphere where galaxy’s shiniest name would also want to nest in.

The event was called Bollywood Reloaded organised by Anjana Kuthiala and the scheduled time for the same was last week. Cascading their aura at Gurgaon’s plush resto-bar Ministry of Beer, Delhi’s most sought after social circuit came together to celebrate a day in style.

As the name suggests, the style was nothing but Bollywood. Come, participate, rock and ramp and enjoy the party to the fullest. This was the mantra for the event. Nonetheless, there was one pre-condition. All you had to do was to dress as a Bollywood star.

For those, who craved for some intellectual food, the event offered them a lively panel discussion on ‘How Bollywood has evolved over the period in the segment of Fashion Technology and Style Creation.’ This discussion was pretty thought-provoking and The panel included gleaming names of  Anjana Kuthiala, Suchitra Pillai, Shilani Sadh, Shikha A. Sharma, Ritu Bhagat, Aarti Kapur and Mridula Ranjan Khatri.

One of the largest film making centres of the world, Indian Film Industry is fondly called Bollywood. This film industry has a history of more than hundred years. It has seen thousands of films being created and transformation of numerous artists from ordinary to stars. The list starts from the likes of first few names such as Devika Rani to latest heart throbs Ranvir, Ranbeer, Deepika, Alia, Priyanka and all of their contemporaries. The journey of Bollywood is divided into many segments and it is astounding to know that each segment of Bollywood history also stands out on the page of fashion.

The dressing sense of early years of Hindi film Industry was much different than those of 1940’s, 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. similarly, years which followed these years witnessed a different fashion sense. Apart from segments there are many individualistic films as well as stars whose style statement became a rage in Indian fashion world over the years. Films such as Kamal Amrohi’s Pakeeza and K. Asif’s Mughal- E- Azam were the flicks which introduced sartorial extravaganza to Indian film Industry. These films are still considered to be iconic in both film and fashion industry.

Going on the line, we see some stars too who made public swoon over their fashion sense. Nargis, Madhubala and Sadhna ruled the black and white era with their style statement while Mumtaz and Saira Bano are considered to be the queens of effervescent retro era. Hema Malini and Rekha added their oomph to the fashion and film world in later years while 90’s and initial decades were ruled by the likes of Madhuri and Kajol. In the male section the stars who changed everything about fashion were Devanand, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Amitabh, Amir Khan to today’s style icon Ranvir singh. Dharmendra is considered to be the man who brought Jeans/Denim revolution to India.
