Joint efforts by the centre and state are yielding results. NDRF is also providing continuous support in the rebuilding initiatives.
 
Besides the efficient action by the administration, a number of NGOs are also pitching in to provide relief to the cyclone affected masses by providing essential commodities and ration- free of cost.
 
The administration is working round the clock to restore banking facilities in the flood affected area, so that the shortage of cash doesn't increases the list of woes faced by the people.
 
Earlier on Wednesday, 12 days after the deadly cyclone struck the coast of Odisha, electricity was retored in renowned Jagannath temple in Puri.
 
Odisha CM Navin Patnaik tweeted and said--- Extremely happy to share that electricity supply has been restored to Srimandir & Bada Danda now. Thank thousands of workers from so many states who are working day and night to ensure electricity supply to Puri
 
The Odisha govt on wednesday submitted a prelimnary report on the cyclone affected regions to a central team. State govt has estimated the damage caused by the cyclone at 12,000 crore rupees.
 
It has also appealed to the centre for relaxation in disaster assistance norms. Atleast 60 lives were lost in cyclone fani in the state and over 5 lakh houses were destroyed.
