Time and again India has given Pakistan the opportunity to mend its ways but India's two-faced neighbour remained unwilling to change.
India has called off the meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meet in New York later this month just a day after the meet was announced.

The immediate provocation was the killing of 3 special police officers after abduction in Jammu & Kashmir by terrorists. While calling off the meeting, India has also put Pakistan's new Prime Minister Imran Khan in its crosshairs for not only the killing of SPOs but also the glorification of terrorism using state issued postage stamps.

India was willing to give Pakistan's new dispensation a chance but Pakistan refused to change its duplicitous ways. Within hours of formal announcement of accepting new Pakistani PM Imran Khan's proposal of foreign ministers' meet in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

3 special police officers were kidnapped and killed by terrorists in South Kashmir, making India conclude it was pointless to talk to Pakistan.

The MEA did not mince words on Friday while announcing the calling off of the New York meet. The new Pakistan PM squarely in its crosshairs for not only the killing of SPOs but also the glorification of terrorism using state issued postage stamps.

The fate of the meet, formally announced just a day earlier, seemed doomed since early morning on Friday when 3 J&K SPOs were taken forcibly from their Batagund village homes in Shopian district and later gunned down by their abducters in spite of resistance by villagers.

The J&K police and Governor have said that the killers of SPOs Nisar Ahmed, Firdaus Ahmed and Kulwant Singh will not be spared..

Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh took to social media and discredited those reports in a section of the media as false propoganda that suggested that some J&K SPOs have resigned from their posts after the killing of their colleagues.

The HM further said that there are over 30,000 SPOs in J&K and their services are reviewed from time to time..and mischievious elements are projecting those SPOs whose services were discontinued as resignations.

He also referred to the upcoming panchayat and urban local bodies' elections in the state saying the J&K police is fully geared up to meet all security challenges, proactive actions have pushed terrorists into a corner.

28 terrorists have been neutralised in Shopian alone this year and this has led to desperate measures being adopted by them and their masters across the border.
