Characteristics of Vinyasa flow yoga

- Vinyasa flow connects one posture to the next with proper breathing. It’s linking and flowing of postures, which is why it is called         flow yoga.

- Transitions are what connect one posture with the other in Vinyasa.

- Vinyasa flow is represented by the beat of your heart and inhale/exhale of your breath.

- The breath initiates the movement of Vinyasa that is why it is referred to as breath-synchronized practice.

- The breathing technique used while performing the flow is Ujjayi breath. It is done by inhaling and exhaling in a rhythmic manner       through the nose.

- Vinyasa yoga is a complete yoga class as it typically moves through all the various asana families in a single session.
